Peddie
Crinum campanulatum
Amaryllidaceae
This is one of the few bulbs that can grow submerged in water. This Eastern Cape endemic is great for garden ponds and wet areas, they are hardy and multiply fairly fast. They can be grown in deep pots with a well drained humus-rich medium. They flower once the pot is submerged in water, the pots can be left permanently submerged in water too.
