Probably the most well known crinum species among south african gardeners, you will find these in most established shade gardens in South Africa. They are endemic to Eastern cape and Natal, growing mainly in coastal forests. They do well in shade gardens and large pots, requiring humus-rich soil. Used in traditional medicine for urinary tract infections and to treat diseases in cattle.
