Cyrtanthus breviflorus
Amaryllidaceae
A water tolerant species that grows in seeps or wetlands. They do well in cultivation in pots and on the edge of ponds or water features. Although they can tolerate wet areas they still require well drained organic medium. Used in traditional medicine as an emetic against tape worm and as a protective sprinkling charm.
