This is a large form of H.barkerae with a lovely blueish green leaves, flowering an iridescent pale pink. This unusual form has only been seen in one colony near Calvinia. The bulbs do very well in cultivation, in a well-drained sandy medium. It is best to allow the soil to dry out between watering.
