Haemanthus humilis is a very widely spread species, as well as very variable depending on habitat. Leaves can vary from 3cm in dwarf forms to 1m long in Giant forms. They do well in a well-drained medium of river sand and finely sifted bark and compost. This is a medium to large sized form with deep pink flowers. Used in traditional medicine to treat stomach complaints, wounds and asthma.
