The Shire Wild Bulb Nursery, located at the foot of the Amatole Mountains in South Africa, was founded in 2004 by Rob Scott, inspired by a lifelong passion for indigenous bulbs and conservation. Now home to over 300 species—many endemic and rare—the nursery promotes sustainable cultivation, botanical exploration, and offers scenic chalets and guided tours for visitors eager to experience the region’s rich plant diversity firsthand.
