One of the prettiest and most unusual colours you can find in a flower. Ixia viridiflora is a magnificent species from near Tulbagh in the Western Cape. Sadly, it is listed as Vulnerable in the Red Data Book, and is likely to be upgraded to Endangered in the near future. They do well in pots in well-drained sandy soil in a sunny location, with a completely dry summer dormancy.
