Agapanthus is a genus of 10 species and all make wonderful garden and container plants. They are hardy, can handle cold climates and require very little attention. They require full sun, prefer a humus-rich slightly acid soil but grow well in most conditions. With no encouragement they flower reliably each year and their tall stems make for good cut flowers.
