Galtonia is a genus of 4 species from the summer rainfall region of South Africa. They produce striking long stems full of bell shaped flowers. They enjoy a sunny position or a spot that receives afternoon shade. They require a well-drained compost rich medium and do well in both the garden and as a container plant. Water well in summer and keep dry during dormant winter months.
