Shire Wild Bulbs and Nursery
Iridaceae Moraea

Moraea

A very large genus of about 200 species, occurring in all South African biomes. They are loved by collectors for their diverse number of species and beautiful brightly coloured delicate flowers. Winter growing species need a well-drained sandy soil, regular watering in their growing season and a lot of sun. The evergreen summer-rainfall species need compost-rich acid soil kept damp and a position that receives a lot of sun.
