Tritonia

This genus is made up of about 25 species, most of which are endemic to South Africa. They are popular for their wide range of bright colours, hardiness and reliable flowering habits. Winter growing species enjoy a lot of sun, well-drained growing medium, regular watering during their growing period and must be kept dry during their summer dormancy. Summer rainfall species enjoy a compost-rich medium and also need regular watering during the growing season and a dry dormant period.
