Deciduous succulent climbers that are widely used in traditional medicine, but all parts of the plant are poisonous and shouldn’t be ingested. Popular among collectors for their large, fleshy exposed bulbs, unique creeping capabilities and long-lasting star shaped flowers. The bulbs do well in pots and should either be situated next to a frame to grow up or in a hanging basket where they can cascade down. They enjoy a well-drained medium containing composted organic matter, with watering once a week in the growing period and should be kept dry in winter.
